With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, and brother, Michael John DeBoer and our precious daughter, sister, granddaughter, and niece, Meadow Jane DeBoer.
Michael was a loving husband, a proud father, and a loyal son and the middle brother who genuinely looked up to Tim and Stephen. Meadow was a beautiful gift, a daddy's girl, and had the roundest cheeks and most contagious giggle.
Michael's greatest pride was being a girl dad. He loved to dress his girls in matching outfits and proudly push them through Target or one of the St. Vincent DePaul stores in their double stroller, showing them off to everyone. His love for his daughters was constant, unconditional, and fierce.
Michael would often smile and say, "One baby for Mom and one baby for Dad." Those words, once spoken with laughter and love, now carry a different meaning. Though our hearts ache beyond words, we find comfort in believing that Michael and Meadow are together again, sharing their unbreakable bond. There was always something special between them. They adored each other, and their relationship was one that words could never fully capture.
Meadow's first word was "Dad." Her contagious smile lit up the room. She loved Little Bear and visiting the buffalo at Lone Elk Park. She was attached at the hip to her big sister, Josie. The two girls were already big shoppers.
While our hearts are shattered by this unimaginable loss, we find peace in knowing that love does not end with death. The special connection Michael and Meadow shared can never be broken. Though they left this world just days apart, we believe they are together forever, watching over all of us, especially Kallie and Josie.
Michael and Meadow are survived by Michael's wife and Meadow's mother, Kallie DeBoer; their sweet daughter and Meadow's devoted big sister, Josie DeBoer; Michael's parents and Meadow's grandparents, John and Katherine DeBoer; Michael's brothers and Meadow's uncles, Timothy (Jessica) DeBoer and Stephen (Mallory Finnegan) DeBoer; nephew and cousin, Dylan DeBoer; godmother, Monica McDonald and countless beloved family members on the East Coast; Kallie's parents and Meadow's grandparents; Christopher and Lisa Rackley; along with a large extended family, all of whom loved Michael and Meadow deeply.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society of Holy Infant Catholic Church , 627 Dennison Dr., Ballwin, MO 63021.
