Nancy Ann
Williams (Née Weiland)
Apr 16, 1933 — Aug 28, 2025
Washington
Nancy Ann Williams (née Weiland), 92, of Washington, MO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Cindy Williams of Labadie, MO; her son, Charles Williams (Laurie); six grandchildren, Jessica Esfahani (Salar), Lisa Shimel (Scott), Angela Bruns (Raymond), Ashley Williams, Emily Wiggins (Rick), and Jake Williams; and six great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Mackenzie Bruns, Brianna and Hailey Shimel, and Raylan and Connor Wiggins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Violet Weiland; her beloved husband of 64 ½ years, Clyde "Skip" E. Williams, Jr.; her eldest son, Steven Williams; and her brother, George C. Weiland.
Nancy and Clyde were married on May 22, 1954, and together built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. They cherished summers at the Lake of the Ozarks, where they enjoyed boating, skiing, and creating countless memories with their children and grandchildren. Nancy was an avid water-skier well into her seventies, a testament to her joyful spirit and love of the outdoors.
A devoted homemaker, Nancy also worked at times as a secretary and bookkeeper for Clyde's businesses before dedicating herself fully to raising her family. She poured her energy into caring for her husband and sons, tending her garden, and sharing her passions with her grandchildren. She taught them card games, instilled a love for reading by taking them to the library, and inspired an appreciation for nature. She was especially known for her green thumb, her love of plants and flowers, and her knowledge of the many birds that visited her feeders. Nancy also enjoyed playing the piano, going for walks, and studying nutrition, always eager to learn and share her knowledge with those around her.
Nancy was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
