After living 54 years in her beloved Town and Country home, Patricia Ann Bay left us October 9, 2026. Born July 24, 1931, Patricia was a woman who lived life on her own terms and was independent until the end. Refusing to use handicap parking because that was for "old people," Patricia shopped, gardened, and took care of her house and husband on her own. Loving wife of Arthur H. Bay, beloved mother of children Georgia Bay, Jonathan Bay, Lis Hollandsworth (Mark) and Nelson Bay (Kim); grandmother to Bryan Corey, Melissa Carey (Mike), Chelsea Waters, Bobby Waters, Brendon Bay and Jack Bay and a great grandmother to Ashlynn Carey, Madison Carey, Brooklyn Waters and Lilly Waters.
Patricia was a long-time member of Salem in Ladue United Methodist Church in Ladue, the United Methodist Women. She was active in their Womens' Auxillary for Epworth Children and Family Services and served a term as chairman. She was a life-long gardener and belonged to the Town and Country Garden Club. Patricia had an extensive knowledge of plants that her family members would often tap into for insight. Using her gardening knowledge, Patricia also volunteered at the Missouri Botanical Gardens while she was still able.
Patricia served as Trustee for her Town and County Lane neighborhood and worked hard to bring about positive changes.
An avid reader and outstanding former Bridge player, Patricia never lost her love for doing these things. One could often find her on her IPad playing card games or reading a new novel.
Service of Life and Resurrection for Patricia will be at Salem in Ladue United Methodist Church, 1200 S. Lindbergh, St. Louis, 63131 at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 16. A light repast at the church will follow. Private graveside services will be held for family at a later date.
