Patricia Elaine Klopfer (née Courtney) passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of intelligence, independent spirit, and deep love for her family.

Patricia spent much of her professional life as a dedicated office manager and bookkeeper. Known for her sharp mind and meticulous nature, she valued learning above all else. She was a proud progressive and feminist, always encouraging those around her to think critically and stay curious about the world.

Her personal life was filled with vibrant passions. Patricia was an avid traveler who delighted in exploring new cultures both near and far. At home, she could often be found tending to her garden, solving complex crossword puzzles, or engaged in a competitive game of bridge. She had a profound love for literature and of bluegrass music.

Patricia was the beloved wife of the late John M. Klopfer. She was the loving mother of Stephen (Virginia) Klopfer and the dearest "Nana" of her grandchildren, Caitlin and Justin. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles William (the late Charlene) Courtney. She remains a dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Services: The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Rd. Ballwin MO 63011, on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Louis Area Food Bank , in memory of Patricia.
