Pauline Matthews (nee West) passed away on January 9, 2026 after a long life that was well lived.

She was the loving wife for 45 years of the late Robert Cecil Matthews; daughter of the late Oscar and Ruby West; dear niece; cousin; and faithful friend to many through the years.

Prior to her retirement, Pauline had a very successful, award-winning career as a real estate agent in St. Louis with Ira E. Berry and Coldwell Banker. In her younger days, she also enjoyed traveling with Robert, maintaining a beautiful home and garden, and pursuing a variety of interests, including appearing as an extra in a TV miniseries.

Pauline had a keen wit, kind heart, generous spirit, and gracious manner that will be missed by all who were blessed to call her friend.

Services: Private interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery beside her beloved Robert.
