Obituary

Rama Singh, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully from this world on 6/9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family". She was 82 years old.

Born in Lahore, Undivided India in 1943, Rama was raised in the Arya Samaj and Punjabi traditions, a foundation of Vedic faith and values that would shape the warmth, humility, and devotion she carried throughout her entire life.

She came to the Canada in 1968 to focus on a career in social work and masters degree in social work and then United States in 1971 in NY , married August 7th 1971 , married for 54 settling in the St. Louis area, where she built a home full of love, open doors, and the aroma of home-cooked meals that drew family and friends close. Her philosophy is to love a balanced life and lived it every day with a balance of spiritual and religion. She attended a catholic school, was raised in a Hindu household and married and raised a sikh family.

Rama graduated from Miranda House in the very prestigious Delhi University and then delhi school of social work and worked in the social work in Jaipur in India.

In 1971, she married Harbhajan Singh, and for fifty-four years the two walked every path of life together in faith, in laughter, in hardship, and in deep and abiding love.

Their union was a living example of what it means to build a life not just alongside someone, but truly with them. Rama embraced the Sikh household they created together with the same wholehearted spirit she brought to everything she loved.

She was a woman of few pretensions and great presence. Those who knew her remember the unhurried way she listened, the generosity she offered without a second thought, and a kindness that asked nothing in return. Her faith m deepened through decades of Gurbani in her home was not something she displayed. It was simply something she lived.

Rama is survived by her devoted husband, Harbhajan Singh; her daughter, Supriya Singh; her son, Arjun Singh, and daughter-in-law Lauren Singh; and a wide circle of family and friends whose lives she touched across three continents.
