Raymond Anthony
Pawloski, Sr.
Aug 25, 1935 — Jul 8, 2026
Ballwin
Pawloski, Raymond Anthony Sr., 90, passed away surrounded by loved ones, Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Caring Husband. Loving Father. Doting Grandpa. Devoted Son. Protective Brother. Of all of the titles by which Ray Pawloski was known (which were considerable: Vice President of McDonnell Douglas Automation Company, Vice President of Marketing for Suntel Systems, President of Starboard Enterprises, Executive Couple of Marriage Encounter, etc.), the titles that mattered most to him were being Norma's spouse for sixty-seven years; Dad to Allison, Tony, John, and Mike; grandfather and great grandfather to myriad members of the Pawloski clan; the only son of Violet and Tony; and the baby brother to sisters Margaret, Joan, and Joyce. Family was the foundation of his life. Similarly, his abiding Catholic faith provided a grounding in humble service to others that grew with his increasing devotion to the Virgin Mary and his commitment to his church families of St. Martin de Porres in Hazelwood, Missouri (of which he was a founding member and congregant for more than five decades) and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Valley Park, Missouri. Ray lived a lifetime marked by integrity (Eagle Scout, trusted financial adviser, and church leader), steadfast friendship (too many to mention), and servant leadership in keeping with his Christian identity as a follower of Jesus.
Born in East St. Louis and a graduate of Washington University (Class of 1959), Ray made his home in Hazelwood, Missouri for fifty-five years before spending his final decade in the Meramec Bluffs retirement community. Ray enjoyed sailing, traveling, and cooking lavish meals with Norma for those friends and family lucky enough to partake. In his formative years, Ray played the accordion semi-professionally at weddings, enjoyed polka dancing, and later, kept a standing Tuesday poker date for four decades. He was treasured for his listening ear, his generous heart, his non-judgmental disposition, and his dispensation of wisdom. He was beloved by all who knew him.
Ray is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Allison (Frank) Revetta, Raymond A. (Mary Koomar) Pawloski, Jr., John (Jacqueline Gordon) Pawloski, and Michael (Elizabeth) Pawloski; grandfather of Alexander (Lauren) Revetta, Jacob (Jocelyn) Revetta, Katherine (Nish) Aravamudan, Christina (Dwayne) Kirn, Zachary (Jana) Vazquez, Jack Pawloski, Lauren Bergfeld, Jake Bergfeld, Claire (Cole) Egland, and Andrew Pawloski; great grandfather of eight children.
