Richard E.
Jennings
Jan 13, 1937 — Apr 15, 2026
Chesterfield
Jennings, Richard E., baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Beloved husband of Lucille L. Jennings (nee Rout) of St. Louis, MO; dear father of Sharon 'Tracy' Mayes of TX and Edie Jennings of CT; loving grandfather of Danielle (Greg) Hardnett of TX; great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.
He lived a life defined by devotion-to his family, his service, and the simple joys that brought people together. A proud Marine, he carried the values of honor, discipline, and commitment with him throughout his life. He was also a lover of golf and an enthusiastic sports fan, often found following games, sharing stories, or enjoying time on the course. These moments reflected his steady spirit, his patience, and his appreciation for life's quiet pleasures.
Above all else, he was a family man. He cherished his daughters deeply and took immense pride in the women they became. His granddaughter brought him a special kind of joy, one that lit up his days and filled his heart in a way only a grandparent can understand. His love for his family was constant, generous, and unwavering.
At the center of his life was his beloved wife, his partner of 65 years. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, built on companionship, respect, and shared memories that spanned a lifetime. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and strength-a legacy that will live on through all who knew and loved him.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, and the deep love he gave so freely.
