Obituary

Rosemary Buyno-Sullivan, affectionately known as Rosie, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. All who knew her will remember her kindness, quiet strength, and her heartfelt devotion to her family.

Beloved wife for thirteen years of Robert "Bob" Sullivan; devoted mother of Kyle and Kayla Sullivan; sister/best friend of Mary (Jon) Mann; dear sister-in-law of Steven (Susan) Sullivan, Joan (Tim) Tighe, Peter Sullivan, and Marian Sullivan; loving aunt of Ryan, Sean, and Aidan Mann, Jennifer (Michael) Krickl, and Adam and Christopher Tighe; dear cousin, and friend of many.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marcelline (Molter) Buyno.

Rosemary was born in Georgetown, IL and moved to St. Louis, MO after graduating from Indiana University with a Business/Marketing degree. She went on to earn her MBA in Finance from St. Louis University. She spent her career in direct marketing; building and nurturing customer relationships.

Rosemary, the daughter of a teacher and farmer, learned the values of putting forth your best effort, perseverance, humbleness and compassion from her parents.  She was an award-winning high school drum major, in addition to a musician.  Rosemary was also an athlete, helping her volleyball and track and field teams win championships.

To Kyle and Kayla, she was "Mom", always there to teach life lessons, provide guidance and give many hugs and kisses along the way. She will now take on a new role as guardian angel to her children.

Christmas was Rosemary's favorite holiday. She loved adopting families during this season and enjoyed giving children gifts to brighten their holiday. Her compassion extended to animals, adopting many older pets who needed a loving home.

We will miss our Rosie very much.
