Sandra Jean
Kelly (Nee Blankmann)
Apr 12, 1957 — Nov 28, 2025
Eureka
Kelly, Sandra Jean (nee Blankmann), passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and sisters, on Friday, November 28, 2025, after a long journey with Multiple Sclerosis.
Sandy was born on April 12, 1957 to the late Anthony and Doris Blankmann (nee Dietrich). She was marked by a quiet strength that shaped her life and relationships. She endured suffering without complaint during years of physical limitations. She cared deeply for those around her and had a gift for seeing and loving others. Even in hardship, Sandy's charm and easy laughter brought warmth and light to those around her. Few things brought her more joy than a St. Louis Cardinals win and visits with her daughters and grandchildren.
We move forward in grief, yet with comfort and hope , trusting that God was faithful in Sandy's suffering, present in her endurance, and gentle in calling her home. We are grateful that she is now free from pain and fully healed in the presence of Jesus.
Sandy is survived by her children, Colleen (Andrew) Luley and Patty Kelly, and by her four beloved grandchildren: James, Charlotte, John Andrew and Benjamin Luley. Sandy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters: Diane Blankmann, Bonnie (Marlan) Thompson, Laurel Blankmann and the late Susan Powers.
We are deeply thankful for all those who cared for Sandy so faithfully over the years and for the many who have wrapped our family in prayer, encouragement and kindness.
Sandy unselfishly gifted her body to Washington University School of Medicine.
