Obituary

Scott Donald Davidson, baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the age of 54.

Scott was born on March 29, 1971, in Minneapolis, MN. At age five, his family moved to Sibley, Iowa, just a short drive from his favorite place on earth—Lake Okoboji. There, Scott spent countless summers sailing, fishing, boating, skiing, golfing, and getting into plenty of shenanigans with his brothers and friends.

He graduated from Sibley-Ocheyedan High School in 1989 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Iowa in 1994, where he was a fierce Hawkeye fan. Scott began his career in higher education publishing, where he met and married his beloved wife, Nora, in 2003.

A gifted writer and communicator, Scott excelled as a successful salesman, product marketer, and ultimately as Managing Director, leading his team to multiple "of-the-year" awards. He also volunteered his time and talent to emcee the Holy Infant Parish Trivia Night.

Above all, Scott cherished his children—Grace, Grant, and Guy—immensely, "The 3 G's". He loved his family and friends more than anything. Scott had an incredible gift for bringing out the very best in people. In a crowded room he always made you feel like you were the only one that mattered. His sharp wit and distinctive, infectious laugh will be remembered by all who knew him.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Steve, and his brother, Mike. He is survived by his mother, Linda (née Aspnes) Davidson, Nora (née Heitmeier) Davidson and their children Grace Matthes, Grant, and Guy Davidson, his brother Chris (Kim née Hudson), his sister-in-law, Kayren (née Watson) Davidson; niece Stella and nephews Porter and Grayson Davidson; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
