Sheila Marie
Hartman (Nee Barnett)
May 23, 1955 — Sep 7, 2026
Byrnes Mill
Hartman, Sheila Marie (nee Barnett). It is with very heavy hearts that we share that our beloved Sheila passed away Monday, September 7, 2026, surrounded by the people who loved her most.
There really aren't words big enough for a loss like this, because Sheila was such an important part of so many lives. She was a wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, and someone who loved her family fiercely.
She shared her life with her husband, Eddie Hartman, and was the proud mom of Todd Hartman and Christine Horning, mother-in-law of Jamie Hartman and David Horning, and Grandma of Conner Hartman, Rosalie Hartman, Ben (Alaynna) Horning, and Calvin Horning.
Her grandkids were one of the greatest joys of her life. She loved being there for them, watching them play the sports they loved, cheering them on, and just being part of their lives. She especially loved crafting with Rosie, and those little moments together were so special to her.
Sheila came from a huge family and was one of 13 siblings. She is survived by her siblings, Mae Barnett Lowery, John Barnett, and Bonnie Cain, and in-laws Linda Wright, Dennis Hartman, and Renee Terschluse, and had so much love for her many, many nieces, and nephews. Family was never just a word to Sheila-it was who she was.
She also held her Catholic faith close to her heart, and we are thankful that she was able to receive a Catholic blessing before she passed. She was surrounded by the people who loved her most, and there is comfort in knowing she was not alone.
