Obituary

Archeski, Shirley (nee Donelon), baptized into the hope of Christ's Resurrection, Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Beloved wife of the late Norbert Archeski. Dear mother of Rick (Lynne) Archeski, Deborah (Thomas) Davis, Greg (Susie) Archeski and Sandra (Bert) Bachrach; daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel Donelon (nee Borman). Sister of the late Joyce (Robert) Rimmey and Jerry (Jeanne) Donelon. Grandmother of Ryan (Molly) Archeski, Sean, Micheal, Natalie (Aaron) Cude, Taylor (Gavyn Prsha), Aidan, Elliot, Evan, Sydney (Adam) Roessler , Blaine. Great grandmother of Harper and Olivia. Dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and friend to many.

Shirley was the loving mother of four wonderful children that she was very proud of. She was a stay-at-home mother until 1979 when she began her career at Parkway West Middle School. She started in the cafeteria and then shortly after transitioned to the print room until she retired at the age of 86. The print room was not a new area of expertise to Shirley, as a young girl her first job was in a stationary factory with one of her lifelong friends Marilyn (Thornton) Steinbrecher. Shirley married Norbert on July 20, 1946 after World War II. Shirley and Norb enjoyed time together making memories before having children. Soon the two of them would have four children running around their home. Shirley and Norb would take their kids camping every summer, camping with their best friends made some of the most cherished memories for their children. Shirley enjoyed being outdoors with family and friends, spending time near the water and then later enjoying days at the country. She enjoyed cooking, and was a good homemaker. As her children began to marry, she became a proud Nana to seven grandchildren. Cheering them on at different sporting events and encouraging them in schoolwork. In 2019 she became a great grandma (GG) to Harper and Olivia Cude, The joy that her great grandchildren brought to her late life was indescribable. She was full of life lessons and perspective and always had an ear to listen. She loved her family dearly and she always surprised them with her ability to recover and bounce back from any battle that came her way. She was a strong woman who was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
