Thompson, Shirley Jean (nee Leake), passed away, Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Beloved wife of the late Allen Paul Thompson; devoted mother of Vicki (the late Thomas) Piel and Paul (Juanita) Thompson; cherished grandmother of Jeffrey (Tasha) Piel, Philip Piel, Jon Paul "JP" (Laura) Thompson, Abigail (Alex) Parker, and Matthew (Ellie) Thompson; loving great grandmother of Chase Michael Piel, Casyn James Piel, Henry Sylvester Parker, Mary Allen "Maria" Thompson, and Ruth Jean Parker; dear cousin and friend to many.

Shirley was born is St. Louis, MO to Ira and Florence Leake. She is preceded in death by her siblings and in-laws, Sandra Janish, Ira (Margaret) Leake, Clyde Thompson, Earl Thompson, Glen Thompson, Doris Janish, Joyce Thoma, and Ivan Thompson.

Services: Interment private. Celebration of Life at Living Word United Methodist Church, 17315 Manchester Rd, Wildwood, MO 63038, on Friday, May 1, 2026. Memorial Visitation from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association , St. Louis Branch, 11433 Olde Cabin Rd., St. Louis MO 63141.
