Stephanie Erin
Childs (Née Bower)
Dec 23, 1984 — Mar 17, 2024
Ballwin
Stephanie Erin Childs (née Bower) of Ballwin, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the age of 39.
In the wake of an unthinkable tragedy, we bid farewell to Stephanie Erin Childs, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend taken from us far too soon. Her playful soul, her giving nature, and her creative brilliance brought warmth and color to our lives, leaving an indelible impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may have left this world prematurely, her love and light will continue to resonate in our hearts and minds forevermore.
Stephanie was born on the 23rd of December, 1984 in Edmonton Canada to Patricia "Tish" and Bruce Bower. She spent her early childhood in Canada with her parents and brothers before moving to Texas where she attended Plano Senior High. Stephanie was known for her ability to forge deep connections, resulting in a large and devoted circle of friends and family whom she cherished. She made close friends through her love of music, singing, and art. In college she pursued her passion for all things creative and ultimately graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in fashion design.
Stephanie is survived by her precious daughter Sidney Fae, her parents Tish and Bruce Bower, her siblings Peter, Andrew, and Dan Bower, her sister-in-law Katie, and her niece Rosalind, and well as a loving extended family. Stephanie will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her presence.
Stephanie will be remembered as an incredible mother who's love and dedication to her daughter are boundless. She will be remembered for her generosity. Stephanie freely gave of her time, her talents, her beautiful voice, and her endless support and encouragement for those she loved. She will be remembered for her fierce bravery, her passion for art and beauty, her attention to detail, and her humor. She will be remembered for her brilliant smile and the joy that poured from her.
To laugh often and love much;
to win the respect of intelligent persons
and the affection of children;
to earn the approbation of honest critics
and to endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty;
to find the best in others;
to give of oneself;
to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch or redeemed social condition;
to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;
to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived-
this is to have succeeded.
