Obituary

O'Brien, Stephen Patrick, baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Beloved husband of Jean Marie O'Brien (née Horvath) and the late Cheryl Lynn O'Brien (née Brazzil); dearest father of Christina O'Brien and Allison O'Brien; stepfather of Daniel Wall; loving son of the late Reginald and Eva O'Brien; dear brother of David O'Brien, Sharon (Paul) Rhodes, Regina (William) Durst, Linda O'Brien, Patricia (John) Shannon, Kathy McCulloch, Elizabeth (Glenn Cheng) O'Brien and the late Mary Catherine O'Brien, Peggy O'Brien, Delores Ann (survived by Kenneth) Woods and Michael (survived by Mary) O'Brien; brother-in-law of Deborah (Patrick) Dudley, Mary (Randy) Buss, Joseph (Kathi) Horvath, Ed (Sharon) Brazzil, Bob (Kathy) Brazzil, Sue (the late Steve) VanMeter and Kevin (Gale) Brazzil; our dear uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Steve was a wonderful husband, incredible father & devoted brother. He had such a zest for life, approaching each day with enthusiasm, energy, and a positive outlook. He had the best sense of humor, always laughing, joking and in a good mood. He was a simple man who didn't need material things for happiness, just his family & coffee. He also had a soft spot for dogs. He lived an active life and enjoyed taking daily 3 mile walks with his wife Jean and their Aussie-Doodle Poppy. He delighted in meeting his daughters Christina and Alli for salads and good conversation. After retiring from AT&T his hobbies included listening to music, home improvement, keeping up with world news & he absolutely loved going to the beach. He was a strong-willed, kind man who never knew a stranger. Steve will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.
