Obituary

Susan Townsley Haw (Susie), Born June 7, 1961 passed away on January 31, 2022. Susie was a 1979 graduate of Parkway West High School, a 1984 graduate of University of Missouri - Columbia and a member of the Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi) sorority. Susie was employed by the Gund Company in St. Louis where she performed inside sales.

As a gay woman, she loved and supported the LBGTQ community as everyone should. She was the brightest of stars, bigger than life and loved by everyone she touched. Susie "loved big", her laugh and twinkling blue eyes will be missed beyond words by all who knew her. Her light and love will continue to shine down on all of us who are left behind. She enjoyed scuba diving trips and beach vacations with her "gaybors" and friends. She loved and was an integral resident of her south city neighborhood. Her favorite time of day was blue hour; we will always think of her at that time.

She is survived by countless friends, neighbors, sorority sisters, and coworkers all of whom she considered to be members of her chosen family. She is also survived by her sister Mary Haw Miller (Dennis), her brother Stuart M. Haw III, her four nieces: Jessica Miller Boeckmann (Jacob), Elizabeth Miller Ridout (Zeke), Alison Miller (Laura), Emily Haw Schaufelberger (Josh), nephew, Peter Haw, a great nephew Everett Berry, and three great-nieces: Sloane Ridout, Rowan Ridout, and Mary Boeckmann.

She was preceded in death by her parents Shirley McHugh Beckemeier Haw and Stuart M Haw, Jr.

Services: A celebration of life with family, friends and loved ones will be held in the near future at a collectively agreed upon time and location where we can gather and laugh in accordance with her wishes. Happy blue hour to all and keep shining.A service of the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
