Beloved husband of Sheri Povendo (nee Wigal); loving father of Chris and his wife Stephanie Povendo and the late Terry Richard "Rick" Povendo, Jr.; adoring grandfather of Nathan Povendo; dearest brother of Don Povendo; brother-in-law of the late Sandi (John) Rushing and Denny Wigal; our dear uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Terry spent his professional years teaching Science to students at South Junior High and Parkway West in the Parkway School District. During his tenure he became a high school principal in Hull, IL. From there he returned to Parkway to once again teach. He missed the students and really loved to connect with them. He was involved in sports as an assistant coach in football. He coached girls softball and then girls volleyball. When middle school was adopted by Parkway, he moved to West High, where he taught Physical Science and continued coaching girls volleyball. He touched many lives through his years in education.
His hobbies included a love of the outdoors. He took great pride in his garden and experimented with different vegetables throughout the years. He was also very proud of his yard and worked hard to keep it looking good. He enjoyed woodworking and home improvement and was very skilled in these areas. Fishing and hunting were important to him and he enjoyed sharing these activities with family members and friends throughout the years.
