DeGroot, Thomas J., fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the age of 92. Thomas has fulfilled his time on earth and is now returning to God, his Savior.

Loving husband of Joan DeGroot (née Lanini) for 72 years; loving father of Deborah (Mike) Tricamo, Donna (Stephen) Monticelli, Susan (Craig) Kjellberg and the late Thomas James DeGroot; loving son of the late Jacob and Marie DeGroot (née Madigan); Thomas was the grandfather of ten and the great-grandfather of eleven.

Thomas worked at McDonnell Douglas for 41 years. He was the Director of Procurement for the F-15. Upon retirement, he opened his own consulting business focused on aerospace. Tom loved collecting many beautiful stamps, metal detecting, reading history and traveling the world with his wife, Joan. His priority was his family. His love for God was such an important part of his life. All the wonderful memories he gave his family will sustain us. We thank you, God, for his life!

Services:  Funeral Mass at Ascension Catholic Church, 230 Santa Maria Drive, Chesterfield, Saturday, December 27, at 11:00 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project .
