Obituary

Thomas Edward Mueller was baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Beloved husband of Grace Ann Mueller (née Mazzola); loving father of Christine (Paul) Gayoso, Stacey (Jerry) Muir, Michelle (Charlie) Strauss, and Mark (Leslie) Mueller; dear stepfather of the late Jeffrey Barry and Katherine (Billy) Fisher; proud grandfather of Eric and Elizabeth Mueller; Anna, Josephine, Anthony, and Stephen Strauss; Kaleb and Cole Barry; and Colin, Elizabeth, and Garrett Fisher; dear step-grandfather of Sean Manofsky.  He was the dearest brother of Judy Harper and is also survived by many cherished brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tom was born and raised in Missouri and graduated from St. Francis Borgia High School in 1960. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard Reserve.

Tom met the love of his life, Grace Ann, through a Catholic organization. After a year of courtship, they were married on February 14, 2014, beginning a loving partnership filled with faith, family, travel, and friendship.

A devoted member of Ascension Catholic Church, Tom lived his faith through kindness, generosity, and acceptance of others. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome. Family and friends will remember his warm smile, his social nature, and his ability to turn any gathering into a celebration.

Tom enjoyed bowling, playing cards, traveling, tailgating, and sharing good food with those he loved. He especially enjoyed Dove chocolates and chocolate cake, a cold beer, and spending time with family and friends. One of his greatest accomplishments was traveling to all 50 states during his lifetime, as well as many destinations around the world. Among his favorite places were Italy and Ireland, whose beauty, history, and culture left a lasting impression on him.

Tom embraced life fully. He was generous, fun-loving, accepting of others, and always ready to enjoy a good gathering. His laughter, friendship, and zest for life touched countless people, and his memory will continue to bring comfort and joy to all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered forever.
