Timothy Michael
Mcpherson
Oct 13, 1954 — Aug 2, 2026
Ballwin
Timothy Michael McPherson, 71, of Ballwin, Missouri, passed away on August 2, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Tim was born on October 13, 1954, to Charles and Loretta McPherson. A lifelong resident of Ballwin, he retired from Laclede Gas Company as a construction crew supervisor in 2014 after 25 years of dedicated service.
In retirement, Tim embraced the things he loved most. He traveled in his RV to some of the best fishing spots across the Midwest, always with a loyal dog by his side. An exceptional mechanic with a passion for vintage cars, Tim found great joy in restoring and showcasing his beloved Chevelle and Nova at car shows. Winning several awards over the years, Tim relished the meticulous process of bringing a great car back to life. But most of all, he enjoyed the people he met along the way and the friendships that ensued.
Tim was the youngest sibling to three older sisters and proudly carried the role of prankster kid brother throughout his life. He was the quintessential uncle. During their formative years, he showed his nephews and niece how to embrace life with adventure, curiosity, and a sense of fun. He helped create cherished childhood memories filled with trout fishing, boating, four-wheelers, dirt bikes, and a healthy dose of mischief. Those strong core memories remain a treasured part of his family's story and legacy.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sandy McPherson. He is survived by his sisters, Kathy McPherson and Chris Schoenberg (Dave); his nephews, Mike Schlote (Kathy) and Jeff Schlote (Pamela); his niece, Nicki Powell (Rob); many great-nieces and great-nephews; and countless lifelong friends.
Tim took great pride in being a dog owner and believed his beloved 13-year old Labrador, Butch, helped him through his cancer journey by providing steadfast companionship and unconditional love. In honor of Tim's affection for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri at hsmo.org/tributes-memorials .
In his final days, Tim expressed profound gratitude for the love, support, and "good care" he received from family, friends, and the many doctors and nurses who cared for him throughout his illness. Four years ago, he was given just six months to live. True to his nature, Tim faced those odds with remarkable determination and grit. He did not go quietly, but on his own terms, with the same strength and spirit that defined him throughout his life.
