Timothy John
Tegeler
Mar 8, 1969 — Feb 23, 2026
Spring Hill
Timothy John Tegeler, 56, baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026. Born in St. Louis on March 8, 1969, Timothy lived a life dedicated to his faith, family, and community.
Tim's spiritual journey led him to convert to Catholicism on Easter Vigil 2006, a pivotal moment that profoundly shaped his life and became a cornerstone for his family. He shared his passion for faith deeply with his sons, Justin and Jake, who became dedicated altar servers. For 19 years, Tim was a valued and trusted energy technician at Kroger, known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
An avid athlete, Tim's true passion was baseball, a love he proudly passed to his sons. He was a dedicated coach from little league through travel ball, rarely missing a game, and served as a respected role model and mentor to hundreds of young men, instilling values of sportsmanship and perseverance. Beyond coaching, Tim was also known as the chief griller at high school home baseball games. His grilling led to the burgers being affectionately nicknamed "Timburgers" in his honor.
Tim is the beloved husband of 26 incredible years to Linda Tegeler (nee Schaeffer); dear father of Justin and Jake Tegeler; and loving son of Mary Ann Tegeler and the late John Tegeler. He is the cherished son-in-law of Marilyn Schaeffer (nee Arb) and the late Neal Thomas Schaeffer. He is a dear brother-in-law to Tom Schaeffer and Vickie Schaeffer (nee Freber) and a loving uncle to Scott (Sarah) Schaeffer and Ally Schaeffer.
