Creve Coeur
Creve Coeur, MO - Willem (Bill) Kadyk, 79, passed away peacefully on February 3rd, 2026. He was born on February 14th, 1946, to Rev. Jacob Merion and Elizabeth (Herpel) Kadyk in Morristown, New Jersey, the youngest of five boys. Bill graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, KS with a business degree before going to work for State Farm. He operated a thriving insurance agency in Shawnee and Lenexa, KS that supported his many clients over the span of 40 years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia (Ginny) Sadler Kadyk, two sons, Stephen (Deana) Kadyk and David Kadyk; three grandchildren, Elizabeth & Maya (Stephen) and Calvin (David); brothers Fred (Janet) Kadyk and Dr. J. Marc (Sandy) Kadyk, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Marion and Elizabeth, brother Dr. Kert Kadyk, his wife Jean, brother Peter Kadyk and his wife Ann.
Throughout his 40-year working career, Bill donated much of his time to service organizations including the Shawnee and Lenexa Chambers of Commerce and multiple Rotary clubs. He served as chairman of the Shawnee Chamber and president of the Johnson County Rotary club as well as being a Paul Harris Fellow. Bill was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church, Prairie Village, Kansas. He served as a Deacon and Elder and served on several Presbytery committees.
Bill enjoyed spending his free time traveling with his family, spoiling his grandchildren, and playing golf with a wonderful group of friends. Always quick with a joke, his humor and wit will be missed. He was an avid sports fan, supporting the Kansas Jayhawks through thick and thin, and celebrating the many recent successes of the Chiefs after living through so many tough playoff losses.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. A heartfelt thanks to all of the wonderful caregivers at Parc Provence and Bethesda Hospice Care for their dedication and service.
