William H.
"Bill" Losch Sr.
Dec 11, 1928 — Oct 29, 2025
Ballwin
Losch, Sr., William H. "Bill", absent from the body present with the Lord, Wednesday, October 29, 22025, at the age of 96. He was born in St. Louis, a son of M.H. and Marie Losch (nee Hamel). Bill was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict, a graduate of Washington University, a member of Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church, and retired as Senior Vice President of Campaign for the Greater St. Louis United Way.
He was the beloved husband of Neoma Losch (nee Boyd), who preceded him in death September 16, 2004; dear father of Linda M. Losch and the late William H. (Laura survives) Losch, Jr.; loving grandfather of Will Losch, Molly (Tiberius) Ackerman, Luke Losch, Andrew Losch, and Carly Losch; and proud great-grandfather of Maddi Ackerman. Bill was also preceded in death by his sisters and their husbands, Marjorie (Don) Schommer and Doris (Elmer) Bannick and a nephew Steven (Gloria survives) McFarland. In addition, he was a loving uncle of all the "Boyd" nieces, nephews, cousins and brother-in-law of his wife's three brothers Dee (Evelyn), Glenn (Betty) and David (Shirley survives) and four sisters Kanoie (Hadley) Etheridge, Shearl Boyd, Faith (Gene) Whitaker and Lenna (Art) Busher.
Bill was a friend to many in both his personal and professional life. He was a gifted teacher and public speaker. He taught Sunday School at church, trained Loaned Executives for the United Way and had many speaking engagements representing the organization. He developed many long and deep friendships from these experiences.
Two other very special friendships that Bill wanted recognized was the long and deep relationship his family had with another family the Slawskis. They were his neighbors, but became like family. And a special thank you to Lincoln Vermeer and his faithful visits to Bill in the last years of his life.
Most of all Bill would want to be remembered for his deep and abiding love for his Savior Jesus, also his love for his beloved wife Neoma, his children and grandchildren.
