William G. Lukas, "Bill", baptized into the hope of Christ's Resurrection, Friday, May 1, 2026.  He was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Millie (nee Babich) Lukas. Bill was a graduate of the University of Illinois, a United States Air Force veteran, a member of Ascension Catholic Church-former Parish Council president and Ascension Ambassadors treasurer, and a Knight of Columbus-former Grand Knight of Council 11139, and member of Holy Spirit Assembly 3588, cofounder of Felice Coures Party Time-dance parties for disabled adults 18 and up, Catholic Man of the Year nominee. His work career was spent at Monsanto and MEMC, retiring as Controller.

Bill is the beloved husband of Janet (nee Ratz) Lukas; dear father of William A. (Vicki) Lukas, Laura M. Lukas, and Erin M. Lukas (Carson Jones); proud grandfather of Max Lebherz, Haley Lebherz, and Jack (Jaymee Torrecillas) Lebherz.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Lorraine Stracener.

Services:  Funeral Mass at Ascension Catholic Church, Chesterfield, Friday, May 8, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to Our Lady's Inn .
