Wilcox, William R., passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the age of 95.

He was the beloved husband for seventy years of the late Peggyann C. Wilcox; father of William J. (Dianne) Wilcox and Mark R. (Lori) Wilcox; grandfather of Benjamin (Amy Treat) Wilcox, David Wilcox, Ian (Samantha Schnittger) Wilcox, Madeline (Brian) McDermott; great-grandfather of Brayden and Berklee Wilcox and Agnes McDermott; brother of the late Patricia A. Merrill; dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Born January 24, 1931, in Hackensack, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Raymond H. and Myrtle C. Wilcox. He grew up in Ridgefield Park and lived most of his life in northern and central New Jersey. At the time of his passing, he resided in Creve Coeur, Missouri, to be closer to family. Besides being a dedicated and loving father, husband, grandpa, and great-grandpa, William worked in sales and served honorably for twenty-six years in the United States Naval Reserve.
