Birch, Yuk Chun "Kitty", passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Beloved wife of Ernie Birch, Jr; devoted mother of Daniella, Darlena, and Daniel (Rachael); dear sister of Rico (Elaine), Herbert (Vivian), and the late Roger; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Born the second of four children in 1955, Kitty was raised in Hong Kong by her mother Cheung, Lai. In 1984, she met Ernie Birch and in 1986, she made the courageous decision to move to the United States where they married. Kitty then embarked on a successful lifelong career in the apparel industry. As a pattern maker and technical designer, Kitty worked for some of the country's most reputable retail and apparel brands including Lane Bryant, The Limited, and Lands' End. She was also a faithful Christian who, without hesitation, donated generously to the Church community in countless ways including volunteering her time, energy, and resources to help cook and organize church lunches. In addition to her unwavering faith, she took great pride in her American citizenship and supported causes like Wounded Warrior Project and Stop Soldier Suicide. Her generosity and commitment to her family, faith, and country serve as an example of leaving a positive impact on this world. Kitty will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
