Kevin Thomas Ruck, 33, of St. Louis Missouri tragically passed away on 2/10/22 from injuries incurred from an automobile accident on his morning commute to work.

Kevin was born on November 14, 1988 to Thomas and Tara Ruck in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating from Parkway West high-school in 2007, Kevin pursued his culinary passion and attended the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon.

Upon graduating with honors, he returned home to St. Louis and began his externship under chef Gerard Craft. He later went on to hone his skills under the guidance of mentor Jimmy Fiala and worked at some of St. Louis's most well-respected restaurants.

In lieu of his passion for cooking, his greatest love was for his daughter Zoey Jane. Anybody that knew him would tell you that she was his greatest creation and the light of his life.

Throughout his life his fondness for sports and the outdoors were always on display. As a child, he enjoyed competing in soccer and diving competitions, but his passion later transitioned to hunting and fishing. He could often be found at the family farm or duck club with his father and friends. He was an avid St. Louis Blues fan and welcomed any opportunity to talk about his favorite team.

Kevin's caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by anyone he encountered. He had a special gift of not only seeing the good in people but bringing out the best in them. He was a selfless individual and always put others first.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Tara Ruck, father, Thomas Ruck, brother, Christopher Ruck, daughter, Zoey Jane and grandmother, Norma Ruck as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Services: A visitation will be held at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, MO 63011, on Friday, February 18th between 3:30 - 5:30 p.m., followed immediately by a brief service from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. After which please join the family at Haus Pizzeria and Bar, 14815 Clayton Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63017 for a celebration of Kevin's life.
