Beloved wife for 51 years of the late Charles Steffens; loving mother of Anne, Lincoln (Betsy) and Nathaniel (Heather); proud grandmother of Elisabeth, Shaelin and Charles; dear sister of Rae Biesiadecki and Ray Yalden; sister-in-law of Alice (Terry) Kelly, John (Elaine) Steffens, and Jim Steffens; caring aunt to seven nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Raphael and Mary Yalden and brother-in-law James Biesiadecki. Mary was a longtime educator in the Parkway School District, teaching middle school students at Parkway South Junior and Parkway Southwest Middle.

Services: Memorial Mass Wednesday, Dec. 27 at 10 am at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 1969 Dougherty Ferry Road in Kirkwood. Private Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul (St. Joseph Manchester Conference at 567 St. Joseph's Lane, Manchester, MO   63021) or to the school of your choice.
