Sean Phillip
Bricker
Sep 27, 1972 — May 23, 2024
Wildwood
Sean Phillip Bricker of Wildwood, MO, passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2024, at the age of 51.
Sean was a loving husband to Tanya (nee Albrecht), his wife of 25 years; a devoted father to Lucy, Gus, and Molly; a treasured son to Steve and Marlene Bricker; and a dear brother to Eric and Cory. He leaves behind a large family, including his father-in-law Irwin Albrecht, sisters- and brothers-in-law, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Parkway West High School in 1990, Sean went on to study at the University of Missouri–Columbia, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He graduated in 1994 with a degree in psychology and later earned a second degree in special education from the University of Missouri–St. Louis in 1998.
Sean spent a brief time teaching before landing in medical sales in 2000, where he spent the majority of his career.
When Sean met Tanya, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He wasted no time proposing, and they married in August 1998. They were blessed with three beautiful children. Sean adored his family—even the pets he pretended he never wanted.
Sean shared his love of music with his friends and family. He was a avid concert goer, and when he wasn't out enjoying a rock band, his kids would often find him playing guitar in his own private basement concerts. He loved hiking and putting together puzzles, and he was forever trying new recipes for the family and cooking for large gatherings in the Bricker home.
While Sean always enjoyed the family's annual beach vacations, he never did learn to like Disney. His favorite family trip was the week they spent in Colorado, and he loved the idea of a quiet cabin in the woods.
His family will cherish the time they had with Sean: the trips Tanya and Sean took as a couple and the nights they went out with friends, the bike rides when Lucy was little and tailgating at the Grove at Ole Miss when she was grown, the hours Gus and Sean spent watching their favorite sports together, and the many movies and Ozzy Osbourne jam sessions that Sean and Molly shared.
Sean was loved by many for his generous nature and sense of humor. His friends will remember him as the life of the party who always had a smile on his face and a hug for everyone.
Rest in peace, Sean. You will be deeply missed.
